When building a query, I often see calls and call segments in the Talk dataset metrics and attributes. What is the difference between calls and call segments?

Call metrics like Calls, Completed calls and Incoming calls count the totality of the call. As Segments, these call segments count a specific segment event in the call. For more information, see the article: Understanding Call Segments.
Call segments are useful for analyzing specific events in the call cycle, such as calls missed by agents, calls accepted and declined by an agent, and calls that went to voicemail.
